Integrating User Managment (Jira onDemand and Confluence onDemand)

João Duarte March 8, 2014

Hi there,

Our company is currently using Jira and Confluence onDemand.

Is there any possibility to join both User Managment's Systems into one? We would like to have just a single user, for each member of our company, to access both systems.

Thanks in advance!

OnDemand does that by default - it's only got one user management system for all the applications. Whichever one you are in, when you click user management, you land in the same place.

Hi Nic,

I think we have 2 different User Managment Systems because I believe we are running Jira and Confluence in 2 different instances (Not currently sure).

We have different licenses for both systems. In Jira we have a license for 2000 users and in Confluence only for 500.

If they're separate OnDemand instances, then yes, they'll have separate user management, and you won't be able use them together. You'll want to merge the two together.

Probably best to raise a call with Atlassian's OnDemand support and see what they recommend though, there might be an easy-ish way to do this.
