Integrated users and licensing

Sean Semone December 18, 2013

I am looking a licesning for Jira + Agile as well as Confluence and Stash and am using these all pointing to an AD group that is exposed to Jira. So all users for each product authenticate via an AD group.

Authorization is based on an internal Jira groups. So my question is if I have to buy licenses for each product to match the numbers of users available via the AD group or if I can pick and choose licence counts based on the numbers of users I have for each product (with Jira + Agile obv being the same number).

So something like this:

Jira + Agile 25

Confluence 50

Stash 10

Thanks,

Sean

Hi Sean,

Nice to meet you here, I believe that there is no problem if you have a different user license between atlassian products. Because, the users is all counted towards the license by its respective permissions, for example that JIRA is only count user that have permission of JIRA Admin, SyS admin, or JIRA user. For the authentication between the applinks, you may use the OAuth for it.

Hope this could help you.

Regards, Julian.
