Integrate Confluence with JIRA - Application tab

Robert Vose September 13, 2012

I am new to JIRA, and would like to have a link on JIRA for the Confluence Dashboard.

I have installed both on my computer with localhost:8080 for JIRA and localhost:8090 for Confluence.

The idea is to have a link wiki as an application tab on the main dashboard of JIRA. It works like that with the On-Demand suite.

How do I configure JIRA and Confluence so that there is a tab on the default dashboard of JIRA that links directly to the default Confluence dashboard?

I assume that the tabs along the top of the dashboard - Dashboards, Projects, Issues, Agile - are called application tabs.

How can I add Wiki to these default tabs so that it links to Confluence?

I asked this question to support and there is no out-of-the-box solution, but maybe someone here has already done this in their stand alone installation.

Thank you in advance.

The new version of Atlassian OnDemand looks good. I will stick with the cloud versions...
