Insight plugin - Automatic update objects

Hello, 

We are facing an issue in our project regarding inconsistency between the components that are deployed into production and what is actually registered in Insight (some mismatches in the names, lifecycle status not updated, components that are deployed but that are not registered at all in Insight). 
The process of updating Insight is a manual process today so I was wondering if there is any way of automating this process. Thanks.

If the insight fields you need updating are on jira issues, you can probably use Jira's built-in automation solution to perform the task.

When asked, it is important to know what kind of objects it concerns that are registered in Insight and from which source you want to update data in Insight.

You can update data in Insight from within jira issues through Insight PostFunctions if an issue changes status. See https://documentation.mindville.com/display/INSSERV/Insight+Post+Functions
