Inherit multiple field values in to the child ticket from parent ticket?

What if I have to inherit multiple field (custom or standard)values in to the child ticket from parent ticket?

I am asking this because I have about 18 fields or so to inherit. Is adding post function for each of them the only solution? or if there is another solution that can help me with this, that would be great.We are using JIRA Cloud btw.
