Inherit field values from parent issue - how to?

Hi All,

we would like to achieve that when creating subtasks for an issue the subtasks will inherit the value of a custom field and the fix version.

Is it possible?

Thanks in advance,
Rumi

check this plugin

or you can write postfunction using groovy or java syntax

Hey Rumi,

I'd also check this plugin:

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.innovalog.jmwe.jira-misc-workflow-extensions

It used to be free (up to JIRA 5.2 I think) but I think it's really helpful.

Cheers

thanks for the hints

Thanks! We have the same request and the JIRA Misc seems easy enough to configure.
