Index Custom Field that uses servlet

Hi All,

Does anyone know if its possible to index a custom field that is based on an http servlet? The data values are retrieved from an external api and stored in jira, i cant seem to find a way to do this.

I believe that you can implement like this:

Or implement a custom searcher for your custom field:
