Incoming Mail delay cloud service

We have the cloud version of JIRA hosted by you. We have implemented the feature to create an issue via email. The settings work without issue but the time that it takes to create the issue can be upto 10 mins. We already adjusted the mail handler to 1 minute in the hope it would correct the issue, but this also failed. We also viewed the original inbox of the intended recipient and the respective mail arrived without delay.

Can you please advise what the possible issue could be?

If you haven't already, check that its not due to a spam filter service like appriver.
