Incoming Mail Servers is not working after upgrade from Jira 5 to Jira 7

Hi Team,

we are facing some issue after upgrade from JIRA 5 to JIRA 7.Our incoming mail handler is not working so that we can add the comment from email to JIRA issue.We are getting below error.

2016-09-21 13:41:06,748 ajp-nio-8009-exec-31 ERROR u5021000 821x48892x1 x6g1vy 172.19.27.94 /secure/admin/VerifyPopServerConnection!add.jspa [c.a.j.p.mail.webwork.VerifyMailServer] Unable to connect to the server  due to the following exception: javax.mail.AuthenticationFailedException: Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.

It's connecting ok, but the credentials are wrong, or the user is not set up correctly on the mail server.

Last time I did this, it was because we had moved server during the upgrade (export from JIRA 5 on server 1, create empty new JIRA 7 on server 2, import data), and the mail server had been secured so that user JIRA-sender could only log in from the ip address of server 1.  So that needs to be checked too.

You need to look at the configuration of the account on the mail server.  It's the mail server telling JIRA the connection is refused, so you need to look at that to find out why it's refusing access.
