Incoming Email Handler - Updates Status Disposition

I have been asked a few times, whether it is possible to have an incoming handler which is creating a new Issue, also place that issue into one of the defined status of a board (Kanban or Scrum).

So an Issue is created and it auto-magically gets placed into a "To Do" or "In Progress" state.

Is this at all possible?

JIRA - Version 6.4.1 (MSSQL)

This widget could not be displayed.

How about updating the "Create" event to auto transition the issue to your desired status?
