Inaccurate commits and pull requests linked to Jira ticket

A Jira ticket created in May is showing commits dated from April. How can this be sorted out ? Please help with the steps.

Was this issue a cloned issue or possibly moved from a different project?  What does the full history say about the issue?

@Brant Schroeder Thanks for the reply. Hope you are doing good.

 

The issue was neither cloned nor copied from different project. Even the history also shows up the normal activities done ( like creating issues, updating , assigning it to sprint , followed by attachments and closure of the ticket).

JIRA issues are linked when you mention the JIRA key in Bitbucket, either in the branch name, as part of the description or comment in a pull request or as part of the commit comment.   If you look at the commit comments is the issue mentioned there?
