Hi Vijaya,

Here's how that will work in Zephyr for JIRA.

1) You add 50 testcases to a cycle via a saved issue filter.

2) You create 5 more testcases to the filter.

3) The filter addition isn't dynamic, it's static. At this point you still have 50 testcases there. You can go back and add testcases again by the same filter, and it will only add the NEW testcases. It would repeat the previous testcases. So then you'd have 55.

Kind Regards,
Chris

Hi Vijaya,

Test cycles are identified with Versions, but you don't have to add all the testcases in one version for a cycle. You can basically add any testcases you would like.

To use testcases related to a component, create a saved issue search for all your testcases with that specific component you want to test.

Then, using the "Via a saved search filter" option outlined in the following documentation, add the testcases from that issue filter.

Chris

One more doubt related to 'Via a saved search filter'; When adding the tests using this option those particular tests are added, but later on when some more tests are added matching this filter criteria, wont they be part of that test cycle automatically??? It will be very useful to have this can of automatic link when we set this filter option for a test cycle.
