Importing of Project on Ondemand

Ramesh Patel June 10, 2014

We are looking at importing some project data from one jira accont to another. I am aware that there is a way to export a project and import, however i believe that the attachements are not impored. If we can locate the assets on the system, can we link them to the imported tickets, even if we use the hosted version of JIRA?

Hi Ramesh,

Due to Atlassian OnDemand Restricted Functions there is no way to do a JIRA project import into OnDemand, its possible to see more details on the following link:

But its possible to do a full import into the OnDemand instance:

Note: This import procedure overwrites all the existing data and configuration in JIRA OnDemand and cross-application settings. For example, issues and their attachments, and look and feel configuration. Please be aware that if you choose to import data with this procedure after you have used JIRA OnDemand for a while, you will lose all the data input in the interim.

Other way is importing your JIRA OnDemand into a second JIRA Standalone, do a project import between the Standalones and make a full import of the standalone into the OnDemand. :)

Kind Regards,

Henrique Lechner
