Importing into existing server possible ?

Hi,

we are currently investigating how to migrate from existing 6.2 server A to existing 6.2 server B.

The tutorials that I ve read always seem to start with a fresh JIRA installation ..

So my question is: Is it possible to import JIRA data from server A into server B without re-installing server B ?

Hi Daniel,

Yes, it is possible. As mentioned in this documentation https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Restoring+Datathe restoration process will overwrite all existing data in the existing application.

Hope this clear your doubts!

Jing Hwa
