Import assignees to Portfolio

Mark Bowden November 13, 2014

When I try and import Epics into Jira Portfolio the field of Assignee which is under the heading of 'People' isn't imported into the People section of Portfolio.

Is there a way to make this happen or is it a manual process?

Thanks for the answer, it's a shame that this doesn't happen automatically. We have mature projects that we have imported into JIRA and it's the best part of a day to import and assign everything.

I've upvoted on the link though, so thanks for your help

Hey Mark,

Teams are not linked to any existing JIRA entity, so you can just add them directly in the table, giving them an arbitrary team name. And since assignees/members belong to teams in Portfolio, you will have to manually create a team and add members.

However, this can be an addition to the suggestion provided here. https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JPO-73

The above suggestion, suggests being able to select a team when importing issues, and maybe the assignees can be automatically added  to the team selected?
