Import/Export single project in Jira from one instance to another

Shital Kore September 9, 2014

Hi,

I want to import single project from one JIRA instance to another JIRA instance along with all the configurations.

This should not disturb the projects that are already existing on that JIRA server.

What we are doing currently is taking backup of JIRA instance and importing it to another JIRA. But this process overwrites all the existing projects which we do not want.

Please let me know is there any other approach available to do this.

Hi Tiago,

We tried this option but we were getting validation error because of some missing configuration from target Jira. We want to import all the configurations as well.

Also we want to repeat  same procedure for stash, Confluence, Bamboo and Fisheye/crucible as well.

Hi Shital, instead of the full restore, you may attempt to import your project using the import project feature.

Cheers
