Unfortunately JIRA Importers Plugin (which provides CSV import to JIRA) does not support yet cascading select custom fields (although they are listed in the UI when you are about to pick a custom field - there all custom fields - even these not supported are displayed :( I've raised https://studio.atlassian.com/browse/JIM-671 to fix this).

See https://studio.atlassian.com/browse/JIM-231 for more details about this missing feature and the ideas how to solve it.

An update.

It is now possible to import cascading custom field by using the -> separator.

More info is available at https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiracloud/importing-data-from-csv-776636762.html

However, you need to use System > External System Import in the Administration page. Otherwise the child field value will not be imported if you use Issues > Import Issues from CSV.

See https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-64747
