Ignor email signature when issue is created through email

As the title suggests, I want to set up a project where our customers can email in issues but I want JIRA to ignor their email signature if they have one. Is this possible? We are currently using version 4.1 but we are soon migrating to 5.0 so if there is no solution in our current version, has this been addressed in 5.0?

You can use a "split regex" param - see http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Creating+Issues+and+Comments+from+Email.

However, if they all have different signatures this might not work well.
