If you are mentioned in a comment, should you be updated on all following comments?

Larry Jennings October 15, 2015

Simple question,

If I am mentioned in a comment, and further comments come in and I am not mentioned, should I get email updates?

It seems like that used to work, but now I am getting a lot of questions around it and trying to see if its a support issue or not, but differentiating a watcher from a commenter is a pain. smile

If someone is explicitly mentioned, they do get an email. But no one is getting anything afterwards and we all think we should be.

No, you shouldn't. Comments sent to whoever is set in the relevant Notification Scheme (usually watchers, reporter).

Only if you were also added manually to the watchers or commented yourself, which adds you to the watchers automatically, you will get future comment notifications.
