If conditions for post functions in workflows

Deleted user June 27, 2015

We just set up a add on which is sending an e-mail to the author of a ticket. Our goal is to send a feedback e-mail to the author of an issue which was submitted through the JIRA ServiceDesk portal. But since we are using the same issue types for the portal and for the normal project, you can submit all the issues through the portal or just create it directly in JIRA - and both ways will trigger such a feedback e-mail.

Any chance to configure stuff (for example a JQL filter channel-request-type=portal) in that way, that only issues which were submitted through the portal with trigger that post function?

All the best! Lars

This is only half of the truth - the functions are very limited and the function cannot send email

My advice is to use hidden from JIRA SeerviceDesk portal field with predefined value, and check this value in workflow.

"The following fields can be added to a request type and given a preset value, but will be hidden from customers:

  • Assignee
  • Linked issues

the "if-then-else" features are supposed to be in Service Desk 2.4, I believe - what version are you running?
