I would like to request help on how I would see a dashboard to track time in a sprint ?

Andrea Parrell October 23, 2024

The scenario is that i have a number of tasks in a sprint that is two weeks long.  I am track my hours (hour remaining from a original hours) I would like to know how I can view my progress in the sprint on this over the course of the Sprint

(i.e. for a task - Start of sprint OCt 21 - 10 hrs to complete the task , Oct 23 - 5 hours remaining, Oct 24 - 3 hours remaining... and so on.

I'm not sure if I can view this in insights (which is helpful anyway)...

Thanks in advance

Andrea

Hi @Andrea Parrell

You can use Jira Rest API's to pull this data and build on your own custom solution. Or if you would be interested in a mktplace app , take a look at

Worklogs Time Tracking & Timesheets

You can easily view time entries for multiple issues day wise grouped by in a single view. The app allows to filter/Categorize/Group your worklogs data and a timesheet view too to track individual time spent. And what's more it can be easily added as a dashboard gadget.

Hi @Andrea Parrell ,

If you don't mind using an application for such tasks, then I would like you to recommend the application developed by our team called "Worklogs - Time Tracking and Time Reports".

Worklogs allows you to precisely filter the company’s logged work with a wide range of filters such as users, issues, issue types, labels and more. Additionally, you can display the data for a specific date range with a breakdown by day, week, month or year.

Of course, you can track your Sprint progress, over the span of days, weeks etc. and compare it with the estimates:

It's also worth noting that the app uses Jira's native time tracing and time logs, meaning that any time tracked previously with this method before its installation will be present in Worklogs.

If you haven't tested our app yet, I invite you to do so - it looks like it should meet your requirements.

You can also book a demo with one of our experts where we will showcase the app and answer any questions you might have, or you can contact us through the portal here.

Best regards,

Hi! Here's the answer to your question:
Simply check at the bottom and select Work Log. The logged hours from the team member (assignee) will appear here. Thanks!
Check the screenshot, hope it helps!

Hi @Andrea Parrell

It seems your agile team is using time as estimation. You can configure the board Estimation with [Time tracking] and then use [Burndown Chart report] to see the time burndown.

If you want to see multiple sprint reports in a glance, I recommend you to try Sprint Reviewer Pro App.

Hope it helps,
