I want to insert a mandatory comment field

In a workflow transition I want to insert a mandatory comment field, how can this be done? Keeping in mind that in the field schema of the jira project I do not want to make the comment field mandatory, always, but only in this transition.

the solution proposed can be done also with a ScriptRunner validator: Require a comment on transition.

If you ALWAYS want a comment I suggest you use a custom field and make it required on transition. It will be easy to display and export. Finding the one comment in that transition amongst all the others could be difficult.
