That is a default functionality in JIRA.

There are few plugins like JEMH which gives more flexibility.

thank you Jobin. I read that in the documentation but it wasnt clear if it could also be configured to advance the workflow. Is that possible?

For that you will need something like JEMH I mentioned before.
