Hi guys, how are you? I´m workin in a Jira project in my company, and yesterday I renamed a field and after this i´m lost every data of this field. The data registered on the tickets were also lost.
My question is: Can I recovery this data? If yes, how i can do this?
Thaks for your attention and have a good day.
Hi Artur,
If you rename a custom field you shouldn't lose the data. I just did a test. I have a custom field called 'Action' and populated for issue CCC-40
I have this filter that shows the results for issues where action contains the word 'Test' and returns the issue I just modified:
Now, I rename 'Action' to "OBSOLETEAction":
And the issue shows with the new name in the screen (I didn't change the screen configuration):
The filter though doesn't work anymore!
I have to change the filter to reflect the new field name:
Do you think that this is what it may be happening to you? Are you using a filter to verify the data?
Hope it helps,
Carlos
