I got "This is the default Tomcat home page" after cloning the JIRA VM on ESX

admin May 14, 2014

Hi, i have to change http to https access to your jira site. Because I don't want to try it on our production server, I cloned the VM. But now, I always got "This is the default Tomcat home page", but not our regular Jira Dashboard.

I only changed ip address in /etc/network/interfaces

What's wrong ?

Hi Markus, is it a WAR installation? In case it is, if you have followed the steps of our documentation to install your JIRA instance, by default you would need to include /jira in your browser URL, so it would be something similar to http://servername:8080/jira

Cheers

Hi Tiago, installation is about 1 year ago. I don't know how exactly done, but I guess, it's exactly according to description. URL http://servername:8080/jira

gives me back 404 error. The original instance is called by http://servername:8080/secure/Dashboard.jspa

Hi Tiago, no, it's not WAR.
