I'd like to know help desk customer cannot create as JIRA user?

Hi, I faced one problem.

I need to create JIRA user with same email address who is already created at help desk customer.

For example, I need to create user for Tom (tom@gmail.com) as JIRA user at the same time as help desk customer. However it keeps showing me that cannot use the same email address.

Other then using different email address, is there any way to overcome this simple problem?

Please help me, Thank you!

Hmm i can suggest several things:
1) remove Tom from all projects then try to create new user with this email 

2) Find Tom in user list, delete him, create new user with same username.

3) hard and dangerous way via JIRA DB
