I current am setting up a Service Desk, I would like anyone to be able to submit a ticket

I  am trying to setup a service desk where  anyone can submit an email for help

currently i get a failure

Hi, Richard.
In order to allow anyone to submit a ticket on your Service Desk project, ensure that you've selected the option Anyone can email the service desk or raise a request in the portal (Projects > Affected Project > Project Configuration > Customer Permissions).

Also, notice that your mail handler on Service Desk should be configured in the project settings (Projects > Affected Project > Project Configuration > Email Requests) in order to allow your customers to raise tickets by email. I'm saying this because there's also an option for you to create a mail handler on JIRA (non-Service Desk) which does not allow customers to raise tickets.

So please double check this configuration and let us know the outcome.
