By default numeric fields do default to NULL and after deciding to make the default to 0 I discovered that this does not change values for already existing tickets.
How can we set them without spamming ten-of-thousants of tickets with change notifications?
If you use bulk change, you can edit all issues with an empty field and update the issue without sending an email. Make sure you remove the checkbox for sending an email befor submitting the change.
