How to turn off the Start Standup Feature?

Sven Müller October 17, 2024

I want to turn off the New "Start Standup Feature" that appears on the Scrum Board, since it promotes an agile anti-pattern. The feature prompts individuals to report on the status of their ticket, in effect turning the standup into a Status Meeting. I advised the teams I support to not use it and also explained why but I would like to turn it off completely. Where do I do that. I could not find it in the Feature toggle list

Hi @Sven Müller and @Nikola Perisic

I have understood that this is a new feature, and it seems still in development.

Hi @Sven Müller

This does appears to be a new / experimental feature as it is not listed in the last few weeks of Cloud release blogs: https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/blog

I recommend trying to disable it by:

your avatar at the top-right of page > personal settings > disable Jira labs features

If that does not help, ask your Jira Site Admin to contact Atlassian Support as they may be able to disable the experimental feature for your site: https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/

Kind regards,
Bill

Hello @Sven Müller , can you send a screenshot of this appearing to you? Blur all of the confidential data.

This is strange indeed. I don't have this showing up at all. Which options do you have when you click View settings?

Sven Müller October 17, 2024

Neither the View Options nor the Board Configuration allows you toggle this feature on/off

Is this showing on all of your Scrum projects, or just one?

Hi @Marc - Devoteam , thanks for heads up, didn't know it's a new feature since it wasn't posted in the articles (not that I saw it).

@Sven Müller please refer to the Marc's answer.
