How to set the JIRA url like Mockcompany.com??

Hi ,

My jira is running on URL http://localhost:8090. But i want my jira to run on the Eg: - Mockcompany.com . Can you guide me how to point to that URL. what all requirements i need to run jira like this ?

Hello, 

You need to add a dns entry which will redirect all requests to your desired name to the IP address where your Jira server situated. You do not need to configure anything on your Jira instance except base URL.
