How to set one or more emergency messages on the Service Desk portal

Is it possible to set one or more emergency messages on the portal.

For example:

Our Mail system is down! We expected to be up again on 10.00

Hope it is possible now to have any messages in announcement section (Newly introduced)

You can have announcement subject & description.

Thanks, at this we used version JIRA Service Desk v2.5.9 with JIRA v6.4.12.

So i have to wait for the update.
