How to set Sub-task status?

I am creating a subtask through post function(script). But, the subtask status is "Created". How can I change the status of the subtask created through post function?

You need to push the sub-tasks through the relevant transitions to change their status.

A few plugins do this in listeners or post-functions, but you mention "script", so I'm not sure what you mean by that?
