We have about 200 projects in our Jira, a new member of staff has become project lead for about 40 of them and needs an easy way to find her projects amongst all the others.  We already use project categories for other purposes.  I cannot see any way of just listing her projects, there isn't the option of favourites as there is for confluence spaces.  project in projectsLeadByUser() in a filter would give us the issues in the projects but not the projects themselves.

It would be great if a project could have multiple categories and then we could set up one for her, or if we could filter by project lead or have favourites.

Is there anything I have missed?  Is there a way to just show her 40 projects?

There is a gadget called projects (see link) and put this on a personal dashboard for this new staff member

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/GADGETS/All+Atlassian+Gadgets#AllAtlassianGadgets-JIRAProjects

There you can select project by categories or add them individually (which would be the choice for you).
