How to see/calculate time spent on backlog board?

Hello,

Regarding a planning board:

- I can see where to configure the TimeSpent field to be shown on a task card in the Active Sprint view.

However, I'm trying to find an easy way to either show the Time Spent on each task in the Backlog view OR show the Time Spent as an autocalculated number (like the bubbles Not Started, In Progress, Done).

Hi

You can configure the cards in the backlog to show 3 extra fields of your choice.

From either the backlog or active view, go to Board settings and choose Card layout. There you can select 3 fields to add to the backlog cards and 3 (the same or other) fields to add to the active view cards.

Yes indeed!  I had tried that and I thought it was still giving me Time Estimate (ignoring the field I specified, TimeSpent). 

But I just tried again and it works!

I'd still like to have it autocalculated as one of (or like) the little colored bubbles for Not Started, In Progress, and Done, which area all based on time estimate.  We can quickly add up the time spent as long as the number of tickets are reasonable.

Hi, I have the same need as you, so how did you solve it ? you created three custom fields and inserted in each of them the time ? you used automation for JIRA or script runner ?
