How to run report to exctract time spent for a specific user?

Goal:

- To know how much time was logged on a set of issues, on a monthly basis, and, for a specific user.

- To find out how much time a user logged for a specific time frame

Current limitation to achieve goal:

- Cannot determine what closed issues a specific assignee worked on, if that issue ended up being assigned to a different assignee before it got closed

- Cannot determine what the time spent is for a closed issue that a specific assignee worked on, if that issue ended up being assigned to a different assignee before it got closed

Hi there - anyone here could help provide a solution to achieve my report goals? I am runing JIRA on Download with not specific report pluggins in place.
