How to restrict the setting of certain priorities to certain users?

Wolfram Garten November 27, 2012

Hi,

we have 5 priorities for the JIRA issues here in my company:

Blocker, Critical, Major, Minor, Trivial.

I want just a few people (project leads, managers) to be able to set the issues priority to Blocker or Critical. All other priorities shoule be setable by everyone.

How can I achieve this? I was not able to find a fitting permission for this action. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

You can try using Behaviours Plugin and using the "Read-only except for certain Role" feature by refering to this documentation.

It is not possible without coding.

Thanks for your fast reply. A friend pointed me to the JIRA Behaviours Plugin. I will have a try if it helps to solve my problem. At least the description says so ;-)
