How to require an Epic link on an issue?

The following response was given:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/GHKB/How+to+unlock+a+Locked+field

If that is still the best way to proceed, please provide details on how to execute those SQL statements in Jira.

Thanks.

Hi Tyler,

Those SQL queries are supposed to be executed from the database you connect JIRA to, not within the JIRA user interface. For example, if you connect JIRA to MySQL, go to the MySQL database and run the queries. You can see the results right from the database. A restart of JIRA might be needed for the changes to take effect. Make sure to back up JIRA before making any changes to the database itself.

Cheers,

Andy

You may refer to Connecting JIRA to a Database. This is for JIRA 6.2. Please select the corresponding database type you'd like to connect JIRA to for detailed instructions.
