How to remove Time spent field as mandatory to change the status of issues?

Hi,

I 'am trying to do change the status of issue , but it is asking to provide time spent from every transition. Is it possible to remove the time spent for every step of status change?

Hi Shravya,

You are probably getting a "pop-up" screen on each status change where you're asked to enter your time spent?

If you have the permissions to do so: you have to edit the workflow of that issue type for the project. In the workflow you have to edit the transtions (the arrows between statuses). You'll see:

• The screen showing up during the transition
• A validator that makes the time spent mandatory: remove this one to make the time spent optional.
