How to re-enable markdown syntax in Jira?

For some reason, comments and jobs descriptions that was posted on our Jira account using Markdown syntax now appears with plain text ({quote}, etc).

Where can we re-enable this useful feature?

I found the "Wiki syntax" configuration at Jira Administration->Issues->Field Configuration and clicking on "Renderers" of Comment and Description fields.
