How to prevent users (unless admin) from moving tasks in and out of an Active Sprint (only)?

Selvam Raju Somalraju January 6, 2016

Our team is able to add and remove issues from different Sprints, and we'd like to keep it that way, except limit who can add and remove issues from an "Active" Sprint only. Is there a solution available for this?

At the moment this is controlled as @Rahul Danwade states by the Edit permission, however there is a change currently being deployed to JIRA which will change this in the near future and make granular permissions of Sprint management more comprehensive.

Further details are here https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/blog/2015/11/improvements-to-jira-software-sprint-management

The first release of this improvement came out in December.

All you required is "EDIT Issue" permission to move issues in and out of an active sprint.

Take that permission out to prevent users.

But it will also restrict them from editing issues.
