Our current Cloud Jira instance is going away. we want to migrate our projects to another Jira instance. In our current projects some of the sprints were completed, we want to move those data to new Jira instance as it is.
Any suggestions please?
Thanks in advance,
I see that you mentioned Jira Cloud but the question was tagged as Server, so I'll post here the option for both.
On Jira Cloud we don't have the option to export only one project, so if you need to move this project it's necessary the full backup and move to another instance. In this case, as it's a full backup, it will move the completed and open sprints.
- Migrating from one Cloud instance to another Cloud instance
For Server, it's possible to export a single project and when we export a project, there is a option to export the complete project that will export the completed sprints and the open ones as well.
- Exporting projects from the source instance
- Restoring a project from backup
