How to modify the automated email generated for self signup in JIRA

Our JIRA is integrated with Crowd.We want to modify the default email which got generated during the time of user creation.Which email template is used for this?

usercreated.vm is the file to modify.I am able to modify.

Hi Anoop,

Have you tried to look over one of the above?

  • WEB-INF/classes/templates/email/of the <jira-application-dir>in your JIRA installation directory
  • jira/src/etc/java/templates/email/in your extracted JIRA source directory.

Inside these folders you will be able to find 3 directories... look inside the text one to change the default that you want.

Please let me know how that works out. :-)
