How to migrate the epics from Pivotal

We want to move from Pivotal to JIRA but one thing stopping from us, is we use lots of epics in Pivotal and when i imported the data from Pivotal all the epics were lost. Is there any solution for this ?

I'm not familiar with Pivotal, but in the JIRA side I would recommend to you to check a few things:

  1. Is JIRA Agile enabled in the instance?
  2. Does the target project have the issue type Epic
  3. Did you mapped saw a field Epic to be mapped when importing issues to JIRA?
  4. Did you tried the CSV import instead of the specific tool importer (the CSV importer is usually better to understand the data you are importing and how you should mapped the fields, as parents issues and agile data)

Cheers!
