How to mask credit card details from emails sent to Jira?

Jira Service Desk and Jira you can set-up to log emails as tickets.

We would like information matching a pattern to be masked e.g.

Data Security Standards such as PCI (Payment Card Industry) and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) require that sensitive/personal information should be kept private.
Example Personal Identity information to be kept private:

  • Social Security Number
  • Credit Card number
  • Driver License number
  • Name
  • Birthdate

We would like text matching patterns to be masked or data obfuscation (hiding original data with random characters or data).

E.g. Credit Card/Pan: ABC123123ABCDEF to become ABC#########DEF, or #########, similar, removed! and be stored as seen.

Any way to do this out of the box with Jira Service Desk &/or Jira, any free/paid plugin?

Thanks

You need add-ons to encrypt data or custom development. I've seen this as a plugin for cloud
