How to log work with TEMPO without connecting to issue?

Asaf Ron April 11, 2013

Hi.

I'm using TEMPO to plan my work by projects, not issues.

Now I want to mark some of the planned work as DONE (Worked), but I'm not able to do it without connecting it to issue. My perpuse is to connect a worklog to a projects. Is it possible?

Thanks.

Hi Asaf,

Worklogs are always connected to issues. Your problem is usually solved by simply creating an issue in the project for the sole purpose of collecting hours. You may also want to check if "Internal Issues" is something you can use: https://tempoplugin.jira.com/wiki/display/TEMPO075/Internal+Issues

Hope this helps,

Hi Bjarni.

I thought that this would be the answer. Thanks for the quick answer.

Hi Bjarni.

I created a special issue for that. But I have another question - how the "original estimate" is calculated? cause every time I log work and fill the "work" field, the "remaining estimate" is filled with negative number.

Thanks,

Asaf

Hi Asaf,

You can also watch this issue in case there will be a direct solution available in the future.
