How to keep the text format with "carriage return" with textutils.htmlEncode?

Hi,

I'm currently using a custom field freetext in my release notes. But I have some problem with the text format.

Problem:

It's seems that the custom entry on the HTML version of Release Notes is retrieving literally the value on the custom field. On the issue description it appeared as it should, but on the release note it was getting the text literally, with the special characters which are used by Wiki renderer to configure the style on texts.

textutils.htmlEncode seem to ignore the Wiki renderer caracter.

Is there a way to have the text format as is appeared in the issue?
