Hello,
we are using JIRA 6.2.6 with Tempo Timesheets 7.14. Our company-browser is IE11 (I know, not the best choice, but we can't change it). Our colleagues are crying daily about the timesheet performance (reading and writing). We tested the performance with IE11 and current versions of Chrome and FireFox. The speed differences are enormous. Chrome and FF are "fast" but there is no chance for us to use one of these browsers in company.
For tests we installed the last version of JIRA (6.4.x) on a new Windows Server 2008 VM with Java 8 and did some speed checks. The whole "JIRA" system is about 20-30% faster. But if you're changing to tempo timesheet there's no speed upgrade.
In our opinion the slower JavaScript engine of the IE is one of the reasons. But as i told before we can't change anything on these browser.
So now my question. Is there a possibility to speed-up tempe timesheet espacally for IE11. What is the best-practices for a JIRA/Tempo Server. We are currently using an Windows Server 2008 R2 (Virtual Machine) with 4 processors and 10GB RAM. The java version is 1.7.0_67 and we have installed an Orcale DB.
Thanks for help

Hi Matthäus
Can you please create an issue for this in our internal support system at: https://tempoplugin.jira.com/wiki/display/JTS/Getting+Help+and+Support.
If you can attach screenshots of the Network tab in the browser console (Press F12) in IE compared to other browsers, while replicating the steps leading to slow performance that would be much appreciated.
Best regards,
