How to imbed images and download attachments with new issue view syntax

Hello,

In the old markup syntax it was possible to imbed image attachments in ticket descriptions/comments using the following syntax:

!image.jpg|thumbnail!

You could also add a direct download link to an attachment as follows:

[^attachment.tsv]

Is it possible to perform these same tasks with the new view markdown-style syntax?

Thank you for the info - it's disappointing that Atlassian have decided to remove some key functionality. The point-and-click approach won’t work for us as we have an automated system involving markup templates. Hopefully they’ll reintroduce markup links at a later date.
