How to get New Relic to raise tickets in Jira?

Norman Hills May 29, 2013

I'm trying to get New Relic to raise tickets from alerts in my OnDemand Jira, I can give New Relic the jira account details & it brings back the list of projects and issue types ok, but,

If I click on 'Retry authentication' in NewRelic it reports 'Success!', however, if I try the 'send test message' link it returns 'Test message failed!'.

If I try to raise a jira ticket manually from within New Relic it reports 'Unable to create JIRA ticket. Please check your integration settings.'

Is there something I need to enable at the Jira end, or is New Relic not compatible with OnDemand Jira?

Cheers

Norman

Are you missing any mandatory fields that JIRA expects? That is what happens usually with remote API integrations.

Thanks Jobin, that was it, I had a custom field that was mandatory, but, had no default value.
