After much work to get a custom Gravatar server supported (https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/46225/configure-gravatar-server) I have only found 1 place that actually uses the image, the "myBamboo" page.

As gorgeous as I am, I can look at myself in the oversized mirror i have placed on my desk, and don't need to see it on "my" bamboo page too.

What I wanted (thought would be) was for user's images to show up in activity streams, or author pages.

  • Jira/Fisheye Activity streams just show the default bamboo Icon.
  • Author Pages (browse/user/n0158588) doesn't show any image!]

Anyone know how I can atleast get Bamboo to share the avatar for activity streams? I assume the author page VM could be hacked to add

[@ui.displayUserGravatar username="x" size="26"/]

There are a couple of places that use gravatar (build comments, My Bamboo, commits) but the activity stream is not one of them and the only workaround is to modify the AS template.

It's a good idea and it's worth creating an improvement request (http://jira.atlassian.com).

Ahh nice. Good to see it does use it for the comments and commits as well.

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BAM-12080 has been created as an enhancement request.

Thanks Przemek!
